President

Picture
Hey all, my name is Jessica Bossalina and I am your MAP President for the 2015-2016 school year! I am also a Senior Nursing Major. I joined MAP my freshman year because I was tired of spending all of my time in my room studying and have been in love with the organization ever since! The thing I love most about MAP is that it has given me my best friends and some pretty awesome leadership skills! My goal for this year is to make MAP the best that it can be. One cool thing about me is that I traveled the USA and spent a month living in a RV.

VP of Social Media and Marketing

Picture
My name is Emily Ostrander, I am a junior and I’m an Elementary Education Major. I joined MAP because a couple of friends convinced me to go to a meeting and I had a great time running events and meeting new people! Something that I love about MAP is that it really feels like a family. Everyone is really close and new members are welcomed instantly. As VP of Social Media/Marketing this year, I would like to create a MAP Pinterest, where programmers could go to find ideas for decorating or advertising events, and members or students could go to find decorations or crafts that MAP has done in the past. Fun Fact: I also play for Stevenson’s Women’s Tennis Team!

VP of Membership

Picture
My name is Taylor Rigsby your VP of Membership; I am a junior majoring in Elementary Education. I joined MAP because my friend said it was fun and I should try it. I instantly felt welcomed during the first meeting I attended and still feel that way now. I really loved all the friendships I have made through this club. My goal for being Vice President of Membership is to make sure everyone who joins MAP feels like a family. One fun fact about me is that I have a small pink ribbon tattoo on my wrist to represent my Nana who, I am so proud to say, survived breast cancer.

Treasurer

Hi, I am Stephen Nyitrai your MAP treasurer, and I am a senior CIS major with a focus in network design. In my spare time I like to ride my four-wheeler. It is hard just to pick one favorite thing about MAP. I joined MAP during my freshman year to get involved on campus, and I quickly learned MAP is a great way to meet new people and to get involved. One goal I have while on the board this year is to improve the budget so everything can continue to run smoothly.

Programmers

Picture
Hey guys! My name is Keyara Blackmon and I am one of your Programmers and I am also a sophomore Criminal Justice major. I joined MAP because I wanted to get involved in campus activities in order to make my first year easier and more enjoyable. The things that I love most about MAP are the wonderful people that I've come to love and the fun, exciting events that we hold on campus! Something that I would like to achieve for this year would be to deliver a speech with confidence and ease. A silly fact about me is that I have random dance breaks to get me through the day.

My name is Shahrose Noman and I am one of your Programmers; I am now entering my third year at Stevenson as a business administration major. I joined MAP because I wanted to contribute to the wonderful events that take place on campus in order to help make them even more of a success. The thing I love most about MAP is how easy it is to get along with all of the members. Everyone thoroughly enjoys working together which helps make the events on campus even more successful. One goal that I would like to achieve this year as a board member is coming up with unique ideas or "twists" on events in order to keep them fresh and interesting. A fun fact about me is that I enjoy acting in musicals/plays and I also play the piano.

Hi, I am Kris DeJesus and I am one of your Programmers. I am a Junior Business Communication major. I joined MAP to get involved with school events, make some good friends, and get more volunteer experience. I love the friends that I've made through MAP and the experience and skills that it has given me. I want to help young Mappies realize their potential, and help develop them along with the new E-board. I have a strong passion for Dodgeball and want to help expand the game.

Hello, my name is Luc Plaisance and I am one of your Programmers. I am a Junior Criminal Justice major! I Joined MAP because I want to be able to create more memorable experiences for our classmates. The one thing I love about MAP is that through thick and thin we always get the job done. My goal is to give our new programmers the necessary support, tools, and tactics so they will be able to rock their upcoming events. A fun fact about me is that my ancestors are pirates, argh!

My name is Nicole Sigmund and I am one of your Programmers; I am also a senior nursing major. I joined MAP because I had heard a lot of positive things about it and I wanted to be involved with the student activities on campus. What I love about MAP is how everyone joins together to create these amazing events and we become like one big family through the experience. A goal I want to achieve this year on the board is to grow as a programmer and give the campus what they want to see. A fun fact about me is that I really love the Little Mermaid and anchors.

Advisor

Picture
Hi! I am Hope Miller, your Assistant Director Of Student Activities and also a Grad Student. My major is Business and Technology Management – Innovative Leadership Track. I absolutely love working with the programming board and being their advisor. I wanted to advise MAP because the students on MAP are fun, excited about the experience here at SU and want to learn and grow. I enjoy watching my team learn how to put on a great event that engages and entertains the students they serve. It’s fun to meet new people and to try different things and MAP is the best way to do that on campus! I am excited to see how this year ends up and for all of the fun and cool events MAP is giving to the campus of Stevenson. One goal that I have for this year is to identify the best ways to promote events to students on campus. We always hear from students that they didn’t know about an event and they would have loved to come. I want to find that magic “thing” that gets people’s attention and gets them and their friends to our awesome events. One silly thing about me is that I absolutely love t-shirts and I have an enormous collection of them at home. I love them so much that I have a business making t-shirt quilts for other people because I just love looking at them and hearing about how people got them.

Graduate Assistant

Picture
Hey all! My name is Jeffrey Scott and I will be MAP’s Graduate Assistant for 2015-2016! This year will be my fourth at Stevenson and my first studying Business Technology Management. I joined MAP my first week here and I have loved it ever since. I went to my first MAP meeting just to get an idea of what was going on around campus, and I haven’t regretted it since. I have made amazing friends and had wonderful experiences in MAP and I wouldn’t trade it for the world! As I enter my last year at Stevenson, my goal is to make sure that MAP continues to be the best that it can be and everyone on campus has an awesome college experience. One fun fact about me is that I have a dog named Toasty because, well, she looks like burnt toast. I’m looking forward to seeing you all around campus; make sure to stop and say hi!
