It’s that time of year again! The spring semester is coming to a close and summer is soon approaching. There is one last event this semester brought to you by MAP, with some help from SGA and will by far, be THE BEST!
The annual Food Truck Rally will be taking place this weekend, May 6th and will be held in the School of Business parking lot from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is open to the Stevenson students, faculty, staff and the outside community.
A new incentive we have implemented this year are Fast Passes that are available to all commuter students. If you have not done so, go to the Rock to pick up your Fast Pass before they run out! Once you get to the event, you will be able to skip the check-in line and instantly to receive your Food Truck Bucks. Also the first 400 students at the event will receive 10 $1 Food Truck Bucks to use towards the trucks.
This year we have seven food trucks attending each with its own unique food items. The seven trucks are; Mexican on the Run, GrrChe, Curley’s BBQ, Brick nFire Pizza, The Craving Potato Factory, The Great Cookie and Iced Gems. Coca-Cola will also be present providing refreshments for the event.
There will also be a wide variety of entertainers present! Brian Rudo, a local magician and escape artist, as well as his son, who have performed earlier this year at Rockland Blowout, will be entertaining those standing in line. Charm City Bubbles, brand new a new event for Stevenson, will be showing people how to create big bubbles, large enough for someone to stand in! There will also be a balloon artist, face painter and homemade photo-booth.
Food Truck Rally was a very exciting project to be able plan this year. I am so thankful this was my last event as a programmer and had the trust of the board to put on such a huge, fun and thrilling event. Fingers crossed that all goes well and we have beautiful weather the day of!
Can’t wait to see you there!
