I decided to join MAP because I wanted to get involved on campus. Plus as a Service Scholar, I need 100 hours of service per school year so, volunteering in MAP was perfect. Volunteering really makes me appreciate the events and activities at Stevenson. I see a glimpse of the hard work: planning, organization, and coordinating that it takes to execute an event. For me, I also get to practice my customer service skills and I get to participate in the events first and get free stuff! My favorite event is probably the bingo games . . . the prizes are awesome! -Joise Hunter, Mappie ![]() When I first joined MAP my sophomore year. Two of my friends, Jess and Yina, were on the E-Board and they needed a few extra hands to help out around the club. I was a bit nervous at first and a bit anti-social at the club. Most of the members were either older or younger than me so I didn’t really feel like I was fitting in. However, after a few sessions and a few weeks at the club, I felt like I was at home. I loved coming out to events and helping volunteer, even though my schedule has been getting ridiculously busy, I still try to come out and help around the club and volunteer for some events. Some of my favorite events from MAP were monthly Trivias, Wet & Wild Field Day and the Ice Skating Social that is thrown once a semester for Maples
