The idea originated last semester (Spring, 2019) from a commuter student who saw another college who hosted a similar event. Through a lot of brainstorming and planning, we were able to make the event happen and can’t wait to host it again.
At this semester’s sleepover, we will kick off the night with pizza. We will have tarot card readers available from about 7-10pm. During that same time block, we’ll also have some interactive games going (jeopardy, etc.). Throughout the night, we’ll have an opportunity for students to make several DIY projects including a pillow and a painted canvas. There will be cereal bar at midnight and a light breakfast at the end of the event. Other activities include karaoke, family feud, and more.
If you are planning to attend the event, please email commuter@stevenson.edu so we have accurate numbers for the ordering of supplies, food, and so on. If you are planning to attend, please arrive before midnight. Commuters are welcome to bring a sleeping bag/pillows/blankets. We’ll have activities going throughout the night, but if anyone wants to sleep throughout the event, there will be plenty of space to do so.
We hope to see you there!
