It was early in my sophomore year when I decided to join MAP. A few of my friends were already in the MAP E board and they were looking for new members to join the club. With some persuasion and information about the club, I was ready to join the club. At the first meeting I felt a little bit shy because most of the people at the meeting were either freshmen or upperclassmen I've never seen before. As I kept going to each meeting and volunteering for more events, I felt happier and more accepted at MAP. Some of my favorite events include the monthly TRIVIA events, Annabelle: Creation, the Fall Carnival and the tryouts. Out of the three, my favorite had to be Trivia. It's a monthly tradition for me and my friends. We go out, have fun, enjoy some food and try to answer as many questions correctly as possible. We almost won a few times, but it's always the last question that gets us. People should join MAP because they can really see what goes on behind the scenes during events, see how such big events can be set up, and meet some new friends. Another great thing is that MAP is really easy to join and it's for everyone! If you're a friendly person, you can really help out by making people attending the event feel a little more comfortable at each event. If you're shy and reserved, it's a great place to build your confidence and meet some new people. If you're somebody who is really good at planning, creating and setting up events, you can join the MAP E Board where you can present your ideas and make them happen.
