My name is Jenna and I’m the new Assistant Director of Student Activities and the new advisor to MAP. I was so excited when I heard that I had the opportunity to be working with MAP because I sincerely love working with students to plan fun, engaging, and enjoyable activities for college students.
My passion for student programming came from my own involvement in student activities while I was an undergraduate student at Nazareth College in Rochester, New York (a small, liberal arts school similar to Stevenson). While I was in college, I became involved with student government and other organizations that planned events for the students. It was in my junior year that I discovered that I could do things like this as a career and decided to go to graduate school for Higher Ed Administration.
So far, working with MAP has been really enjoyable. During my first week at Stevenson, I went on a trip to Hershey Park and I knew this job would be a blast! We just wrapped up our first Trips Week which was also really fun. We hosted trips to Bowling, the Premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the Aquarium, and Great Wolf Lodge Indoor Water Park. The feedback from students has been really positive and I’m excited to continue working with MAP to plan more enjoyable events for the future.
I look forward to getting to know many of you and I want to encourage you to stop by my office (Rockland 2nd floor) and say ‘’hi.” If you have any ideas for events, please let us know so that we can help make your Stevenson experience amazing! It’s not too late to become a part of MAP – stop by our weekly meetings on Fridays at 3pm to learn more about how you can get involved.
