I take a lesson from my dad. You can let your situation control you or you can take control of your situation. YES I'm upset, anxious, worried, and have no control on what's going to happen in the next coming weeks or months. YES I wish things could've been different and my heart is so sorry for those suffering. YES if I had a time machine every time I wished class was canceled because I was sleepy and didn't want to get up I could take it back and hop on the shuttle to be with my peers one last time.
BUT what I won't do is make this temporary situation effect me more negatively then it already has. Your outlook determines how you approach anything and if we stay positive we can push forward.
As a student leader on campus I really dislike seeing students upset and that makes me motivated even more to have MAP help our Mustangs through this. We are all going through this uncertain time together and we will prevail. I'm going to push for what I CAN control, stay positive for those around me, and make the best of this situation. I encourage all to take this time to take care of yourself mentally and physically. Health = Wealth. Support a friend, support your professors trying to adjust as well ,support our essential workers risking it for the good of the community, support those who don't have a home to stay at & lastly support those trying to help you. I know my purpose is to spread positivity and make people happy so although times are rough I'm going to look at it as an opportunity to get creative, accomplish tasks I have pushed off, and help my fellow Mustangs get through this one MAP moment at a time. In person or virtually it's always a great day to be a Mustang. GO MUSTANGS NEIGH!
