Many hands make light work.
The meaning is so simple but the effect is grand. It means that the more helpers we enlist the less work each of us has to individually take on by ourselves. This is absolutely true when it comes to our programming board, MAP. The more volunteers come out to help with an event, the more fun we have individually because we are not trying to do every job on our own. Our volunteers are the backbone of the success of our organization. We have a varied group of students from all majors, all graduating years, all residential locations, and all personality types.
Everyone gets together once a week to go over the game plan for the upcoming events. People take seriously their commitment to attending and helping at events or for advertising and promoting. Our members make friends among other “mappies”, and make friends of attendees as they represent our organization with pride and a great looking blue shirt. Our dedicated volunteers make Mustang Activities and Programming a successful vehicle for large scale events on campus and I am proud to be the advisor for such a wonderful group of students.
The executive board of MAP has been working diligently since their election last spring to create an amazing fall 2015 semester full of lasting memories, fun events, and opportunities to engage with others for all Stevenson University students. Together with our members, we will bring to campus some of the best programs you will ever experience. I can’t wait to see you soon!
