Since fall semester of my freshman year, I have been a part of MAP. I joined MAP to get involved on campus. When I first joined, I didn’t know what to expect, but joining MAP was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I love MAP because we actually take the time to get to know every member personally. The executive board members think about what the members want. They consider the ideas and opinions of the members when making decisions on events. My first two years in MAP, I was a general member. This means I was a volunteer that helped work events. I loved that I was able to meet new people. I also loved that I got to interact with the different artists. Even though the programmers were in charge of the events, they never made it seem like they were better than the volunteers. Sophomore year, I found myself in love with MAP so much I decided to take an executive board position and apply to be a programmer. Being a programmer would help me expand my leadership abilities. I love MAP because it is like my second family; everyone genuinely cares about each other. Being in MAP has helped me form a lot of friendships. In MAP, we are always having a good time together and there’s no other club I’d rather be a part of.
